TOWN OF FULTON RESOLUTION #11-02 TO ESTABLISH MUNICIPAL WARDS

 AND TO COMBINE WARDS FOR VOTING PURPOSES

             WHEREAS, Wisconsin Statutes Section 5.15, requires all cities, villages and towns with a population of 1,000 or more to establish municipal wards based on the results of the 2010 census,

             AND WHEREAS, Section 59.10 (3)(b) of the Statutes requires that each county board adopt and transmit to each municipal governing body in the county a tentative county supervisory district plan dividing the county into districts and designating the approximate location and population of each ward proposed to effectuate the division of the county into districts,

             AND WHEREAS, these laws require that each municipality designate by consecutive whole number, geographical description and population the various wards to be created within the municipality,

             NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town of Fulton has adopted the wards as described below and as set forth on the attached map and that the polling place for all six (6) wards will be in ward one at the Town Hall.

 Ward 1:  All land lying South and East of the Rock River, West of the Milton School District West boundary line as of this date, to the south boundary line of the Town of Fulton.

 Ward 2:  All land lying West of the Rock River and North of the Rock River to the Edgerton City limits, south of E. Watts Springs Rd. and West of N. Edgewood Shores Rd.

 Ward 3:  Land lying South of South Street in the City of Edgerton, East of Fasset Cemetery, West of Hwy 51, which include parcel # 6-6-80 (10343 N Hwy 51), 6-6-80.1 (10499 N Hwy 51), 6-6-80.2 (10483 N Hwy 51), and 6-6-82 (10339 N Hwy 51)also including parcel 6-6-448 (227 Menhall Dr.) and 6-6-30.1 (20 Menhall Dr.) within the city limits of Edgerton.  Land lying South and East of the Edgerton city limits, West of I90, north of the Rock River, and East of N. Edgewood Shores.

 Ward 4:  All land lying East of I90.

 Ward 5:  All land lying South and East of the Rock River, North of E Ellendale Rd., and North of E Knudsen Rd, West of I 90

 Ward 6:  All land lying South of E Ellendale Rd. and South of E Knudsen Rd., West of I90, South of the Rock River East of the Milton School District West boundary line as of this date.

       

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED,that Wards which were created as set forth above are combined for voting purpose so as to share the common polling place indicated and such combined wards shall use common ballot boxes and ballots or voting machines and separate returns shall not be maintained for the combined wards except where separate ballots are required under Section 5.58 to 5.64 of the Statutes. Separate ballots or voting machines shall be maintained for any electors of one or more of the combined wards who are ineligible to vote for any office or referendum for which other electors in the combined wards may vote,

             BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that upon passage, a copy of this resolution shall be filed with the Town Clerk who shall transmit a copy of this resolution to the County Clerk within five days of its adoption and that this resolution shall remain in effect for each election until modified or rescinded in accordance with state statute or until a new division is made following the next federal decennial census.
